Home Remedies & FAQ's
The key to successful cleaning is the promptness of blotting, scraping and vacuuming of
dry and wet spills. Many times liquid spills can be removed with just blotting.
Timing is the key.
For liquid spills, apply cleaning solutions to a clean cloth, then working from the
outside of the stain, gently blot and lift the stain out.
Avoid rubbing to avoid damaging the fiber tufts.
Turn and change the cloth frequently.
After removing the stain, spritz the area lightly with water to rinse.
Avoid over wetting.
Excess water can seep into the padding and backing.
This can damage the carpet and cause browning.
Blot again with a clean cloth.
Cover the stain with paper towel or white cloths and weight down with a
heavy object allowing it to absorb any remaining stain.
Allow area to dry thoroughly and fluff up the pile.
Some stains may need a second treatment.
For safety, test any solution on a hidden spot first, like under a chair or in a corner.
For this test, apply several drops of your cleaning solution on the carpet and blot
with a white cloth for 10 seconds.
If no color transfer or fiber damage is apparent, it’s safe to proceed.
